Message To change it every 3000 miles. Period. Someone prove me wrong and I'll shut up. The plate on the motor of the Z32, what does it say? Every 5000. Right. That's with dino oil too. Synthetic can go even longer. When I change mine at 5k, its still a golden brown, not dark chocolate or black. And I drive her hard, everywhere.

Agreed, it's cheap insurance. But I'll bet a cool million no one destroys their motor for going an extra 2K miles on synthetic oil.
